Majestic Maidens | Gold wedding headpieces for Kate’s bridesmaids
Oh goodie, do I have some loveliness to share with you all today!
As you may have gathered by now, I’m a little smitten with golden tones. I think gold adds a touch of warmth to a colour palette like no other colour and I love the way it contrasts so beautifully against blonde, brunette and black hair.
Today’s post is all about glorious gold and these pretty gold wedding headpieces I had the pleasure to create for US bride-to-be Kate and her lovely maidens. In fact, a little while back, I shared some photos of a custom bridal headpiece I designed for the sweet bride herself – be sure to check out the post if you missed it! Kate’s headpiece features some gorgeous handcrafted pink silk flowers set amongst lots of delicate handiwork.
It was a lot of fun working with Kate to design these headpieces for her girls. When it came to styling her bridal party, Kate was all about versatility and flexibility so they could experiment with how they chose to style their hair on her wedding day. With this in mind, the headpieces I designed are set on a firm yet flexible wire foundation and secure to the hair with hair combs so her girls can wear their headpieces any way they wish – along the hairline as a headband, a little more boho-inspired across the forehead, or perhaps even backwards to adorn an updo or a loose half up/half down hairstyle. They can choose to wear their headpieces straight, curved in an asymmetrical fashion or softly curved towards the sides for a more organic and relaxed look.
One of the headpieces pictured below features details which are ever so different. This special piece is for her maid of honour and it features more golden tones and it’s slightly wider in sections. I love how all the pieces work harmoniously together and most importantly, I love how they complement Kate’s bridal headpiece ever so beautifully.
Thank you Kate for the opportunity to work with you on your special day!
