Enchanted Garden | A purple and gold bridal headpiece for Gabrielle
Gold and blush pink tones have been a popular colour palette for weddings of all descriptions – modern, vintage and traditional. This year, we’re seeing a slightly moodier take on the gold and blush pink combination, with brides delving into the beautiful world of muted purples and silvers combined with the warmth of gold hues.
We recently worked with a Sydney bride, Gabrielle, on a purple and gold bridal headpiece for her whimsical and enchanting garden wedding. When Gabrielle was first in touch, she described her wedding theme as ‘an enchanting fairytale wedding – rustic and romantic’ in the Blue Mountains of NSW. Her bridesmaid will be wearing mismatched gowns in soft pink and purple tones to complement her beautiful lace wedding gown and cathedral length veil.
We worked with Gabrielle to design a wildly romantic bridal headpiece which incorporated freshwater pearls in shades of blush and mauve, fine gold mesh leaves and crystal accents. These details were accents that Gabrielle loved from some of our other designs – the Wild Willows and the Ophelia to name just two.
The final piece is something we absolutely adore and we were beyond excited by the amazing feedback we received from Gabrielle and her mum. Her hair piece is a beautifully versatile size at just 5 inches long (12cm) from tip to tip. A pretty size which can be styled into a range of bridal updos and half up hairstyles.
This comb looks gorgeous with the warmth of the golden leaves but we also think it would work beautifully with a silver colour palette.
