Royalty Redefined | A Modern Take on the Bridal Tiara
Brides sometimes ask me how they can bring a touch of glamour to their fairytale wedding day… without of course feeling like a Walt Disney character. Because, after all, what little girl doesn’t dream of being a princess bride? While bridal tiaras have made way for flower crowns in modern weddings, you can still add a hefty dose of sparkle-factor to your wedding day hair, without looking like a debutant!
If you’re after a more modern look, and still want to feel like royalty, I recommend beaded boho bridal headpieces pieces, silk flower crowns and garlands, and delicate headbands adorned with crystals, rhinestones and pearls. Any of these headpieces can work beautifully with your wedding style, to create the perfect look.
Here are some of my favourites from my recently launched 2015 collection!
These images were captured by the talented Jemma Keech Photography, hair and makeup by Rebekah Clark, wedding gowns by Celest Thoi and shot at the gorgeous Laurelville Manor in York, Western Australia.
Bespoke beauties | Modern Tiaras
Some of my favourite modern tiaras are inspired by nature. I’ve worked with a number of brides this year who wanted me to create bespoke pieces in golds, blushes and pale, pale blues that were reminiscent of vines, flower crowns and halos. Working a little bit of the garden into these pieces makes them feel so organic and delicate, and makes them much more wearable for all styles of weddings.
