Silver Shimmer | Wild Willows bridal headpiece in silver tones
It’s been such a delight to create the Wild Willows bridal headpiece for lots of wonderful brides all around the world. It’s been extremely popular in gold tones and I’m regularly asked to see photos of the silver version. So I thought I’d dedicate today’s post to the Wild Willows in silver with photo comparisons of the piece next to the original gold version.
What I love so much about this gorgeous piece in silver is the ever so soft silver hue. It can sometimes be tricky to match silver tones… and I know that might sound a bit odd. After all, silver is silver isn’t it? Well, yes and no. You may have stumbled across silver tones in your travels where it appears to be on the darker side of grey rather than a softly shimmery silver. This is often the case when it comes to nickel-based brooch pins, vintage jewellery and the like.
Personally, I love the delicacy and softness of the silver tones in the Wild Willows piece pictured below. It works beautifully when paired with wedding gowns in shades of white, ivory and cream, and it also blends beautifully with silver beading that’s oh-so-subtle in appearance.
I also think it would add the perfect touch of sparkle to blonde, brunette and black hair – it’s all about subtle elegance!
