Wispy wonders | Simple wispy updo
My of-the-moment obsession is a simple wispy updo. I’m sure you’ve seen the type – it’s the perfect balance of messy and nice, structured yet feathery soft. It takes very little time to pull together and leaves you feeling polished and pretty all day long. It’s currently my go-to ‘do when I’m in the studio for 18 hours straight and when I finally look in the mirror just before bedtime, it still looks super cute. It’s almost a shame to brush it out because I want to sleep in it too!
Like most girls, I love a detailed updo and soft tousled curls but my love for hair goes beyond the perfectly polished. When it comes to looking your best on your wedding day, it’s all about feeling like the best version of yourself and sometimes the simplest hairstyle is the perfect finishing touch to pull your look together.
So you might be thinking a simple wispy updo lacks the formality and elegance for a wedding. But what it lacks in formality it makes up 10 fold with romance and effortless chic that will make you feel like you’ve just stepped off the red carpet. The secret is to wear it with confidence, a glowing smile and accessorising it with gorgeous statement earrings or dainty hair pins. Understated and lovely!
There are so many reasons to fall in love with a simple wispy updo. Not only does a simple updo channel Hollywood glamour in an instant, it effortlessly highlights your neck and shoulders, frames your face and showcases the gorgeous neckline on your wedding dress.
Then there’s the other practical reasons for the pragmatics out there! If you’re growing out your hair and you’re in between layers, a wispy updo is a stylish way to tame those shorter layers to achieve a clean and sophisticated look that’s uncomplicated and pretty. It’s also great for any bride with fine hair who wants to add some body and bounce to an updo with all the elegance and grace you want for your wedding day.
Fancy trying some of these styles at home? I’m loving these hair tutorials I found browsing online. What do you think about these wispy updo for your wedding day?
