Styled Tresses | Getting down with wedding updos
Who doesn’t love a gorgeous wedding updo? There’s so much to love about perfectly formed bundles of curls, a smooth and sleek classic bun or perhaps a messy side chignon. No matter what your preference is, there is a wedding updo for every bride – if that’s what takes your fancy of course!
So, where do you start?
A great place to start is to make an inspiration board. Collect photos from wedding magazines or pull together your ideas online and create a board on Pinterest. Bringing together your favourite hairstyles in the one place will help you see what it is you like when it comes to your dream bridal hairdo.
If you’re stuck between a few beautiful wedding hairstyles, chat to your stylist about creating one customised look just for you. Incorporate a bit of this with a bit of that… et voila! A gorgeous ‘do that’s perfect for you. That’s the best thing about wedding updos – you can create something fresh, unique and captures everything you love when it comes to bridal hair.
There are so many beautiful wedding upstyles but here are some of my favourites!

Choosing wedding accessories for your bridal hairstyle
A bridal updo is the perfect style if a heavy bridal headpiece or long veil is what you’re after. Wedding hairstyles with a bun will be the perfect supportive foundation to allow you to wedge the comb or clip into place securely.
If you’re thinking of a birdcage veil, consider the placement of your fringe, your part and the position of the bun. Some hairstyles suit a veil or headpiece that is attached closer to your hair line, while others work best further back.
