We work collaboratively with the bride, involving her along the design process by sharing images, descriptions and the option of final adjustments. We make sure she feels in control and confident that the end result will be how she envisaged.

We were so grateful when Yasmin reached out to us. After sharing her situation with us, Yasmin sent us examples of inspiration images that appealed to her (including photos from her first attempt so we knew what she didn’t want) and together we shared thoughts on how to bring this vision to life. We drew inspiration from our Franca floral crown and reimagined it into an exquisite floral bun wrap that will create a beautiful focal point to her bridal look.
As Yasmin was in a hurry, we prioritised her order with an expedited production time. After approval photos were sent and given the all clear, her headpiece was beautifully packaged and sent her via Express Post with time to spare before her special day.

We recently worked with US bride Leeda to create a bespoke pink wedding veil for her wedding day: a whimsical and ultra romantic piece symbolising the beauty of flowers, fierce femininity, creativity and the beauty of customisation.
Here in the Tania Maras studio, pink is a colour that resonates with us on many levels. In every shade, pink shines as a symbol of feminine strength and empowerment. It proves that strength and softness can beautifully co-exist. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Leeda on her bold and unique wedding veil.
Leeda’s vision for her wedding day was classic and chic, featuring a fuchsia colour palette and a statement ivory lace gown. To finish her look, she wanted a bold and beautiful floral veil featuring her chosen accent colour of fuchsia and trailing blooms to cascade behind her down the aisle.
We loved working with Leeda to turn her dream into reality. Leeda shared some inspiration images with us and gave us the creative freedom to design her veil with ombre petals in shades of soft pink to bold pink, set onto a soft ivory veil with a blusher layer. Surrounding the florals were hand dyed sage green lace leaves – an enchanting and mesmerising colour combination that is the epitome of modern romance.
Extending to a dramatic 350cm in length plus blusher layer, this cathedral length veil is sure to turn heads with its bold silhouette and colour palette. Take a closer look and you will notice beautiful tones, fine hand pearl beading and a soft sheer veiling fabric.

Callie’s vision for her wedding veil brought together our RIVIERA and NIGHT GARDEN veils with a lighter and consistent application from head to toe, and beyond. This simply exquisite veil marries ethereal 3D details with sheer tulle fabric for the ultimate in romantic bridal styling.
The 300cm length features the NIGHT GARDEN details to accentuate the train. The top section of the veil from the head to the knees is accentuated by our RIVIERA elements, lovingly scattered down onto the veil in an effortless and beautiful way.
During the production of Callie’s veil, we lovingly called this veil the Floating Flowers veil and is on our list of the most romantic cathedral veils we have designed to date.

All of our loves came together in perfect harmony when we worked with Rachel to create a crystal bridal headpiece for her October wedding. Rachel emailed us photos and links of her wedding dress and bridal hairstyle including details of what she was envisioning. She gave us the most magical and beautiful canvas to work with – her Galia Lahav gown was a piece of sheer beauty and her vision was to pair it with a romantic updo or half up hairstyle along with a wedding veil. We loved Rachel’s bridal dress for its striking silhouette, whimsical aesthetic and plunging neckline.Â
To add an element of classic styling to her look, we worked with her bring together the florals and foliage from our ABIGAIL comb and paired it with the silhouette of the WISTERIA headpiece. The antique silver leaves are adorned with sparkly crystal elements and the soft handcrafted flowers feature pearl stamens that feel effortless and romantic, and were the perfect details to accentuate her exquisite wedding gown.

Good things come in small packages and these intricate regal red bridal hair pins for bride Ella make our hearts swoon. The loveliest Ella had fallen in love with our MEADOW hair pins and envisaged a set in dark red tones to complement her Eastern wedding gown. We love shades of red and tones at the darker end of the spectrum blended with golden hues exude an intensity and depth we were keen to explore for Ella.
We love working one-on-one with our brides to pull together their bridal looks in a way that is meaningful to them. For some brides, it’s incorporating a flower that represents someone special such as a dear grandmother with an iris, tulip or rose flower in a design. For Ella, her gold red wedding hair pins are a tribute to her Chinese heritage and symbolise happiness, joy, luck and prosperity on her wedding day and life beyond.
In keeping with tradition, we designed Ella’s pins with a colour palette of red and gold. We sourced semi-precious garnet beads in various sizes for her pins to add an extra touch of decadence to the set.

We had the pleasure of working with bride Angela to create a decadent and indulgent crown for her wedding day. This bespoke beauty makes a bold statement of regality and romance with its charming vine-like silhouette adorned in detailed clay roses and a soft scattering of pearl elements.
Angela’s bespoke journey started with an email sharing her love for our SPIRIT headpiece and DUET crown. She loved the fullness of the SPIRIT roses and the structure of a crown so she could wear it as a headband to frame her face.
Angela’s wedding gown and bridal hairstyle are best described as timeless, romantic and elegant. Her gown features a classic silhouette with floral and leaf motifs accenting a low V bodice and her hairstyle captures an Old Hollywood vibe with its soft waves and side part.
To capture the essence of her bridal look, we worked with Angela to design a bespoke crown that featured the full roses from the SPIRIT crown and worked this detail along the piece in varying sizes set amongst golden leaves. We incorporated petite, medium and large roses and nestled between them were subtle pearl sprigs that added a sweet detail whilst allowing the blooms to take centre stage.
It was important to ensure Angela’s headpiece complemented her dress. This means, its detailing, scale and silhouette needed to feel harmonious with the details on her dress and design features of her gown.

Bride Pauline was in touch with us last year about commissioning a floral wedding headpiece for her wedding. Her ceremony and reception will be set in Old Westbury, Long Island in the USA, and she was after a headpiece that was a natural extension of her bridal aesthetic.
Pauline shared photos with us of her exquisite wedding gown, her half up hairstyle, and her favourite designs from our collection for inspiration. And we swooned, oh how we swooned!
We see a lot of wedding dresses working with our brides. But the very moment we laid eyes on Pauline’s wedding dress we all gasped. Her chic gown burst with femininity, an abundance of lace details and an unforgettable silhouette featuring a full flowing skirt.
The FLORENCE headpiece was Pauline’s favourite from our collection. She sought a fuller headpiece in ivory, gold and subtle blush pink tones. Pauline loved the warmth of blush but didn’t want any dramatic pink elements, so we kept the blush tones to a minimum.
This floral wedding headpiece was inspired by the delicacy and beauty of baby’s breath and featured Pauline’s favourite elements from the Florence crown. While her headpiece is a full halo, we ensured it felt and looked lightweight whilst still bursting with floral elements.
We love this crown because it suits perfectly imperfect loose curls, romantic updos and fuss free hair. This headpiece was designed to fit the circumference of Pauline’s head, and also allows for volume for when her hair is professionally styled. It secures to the hair with bobby pins which can be easily threaded through the loops at the ends of this headpiece.
This headpiece can be worn with or without a wedding veil. Pauline will be wearing our DAHLIA chapel veil on her wedding day so we ensured they would fit snuggling and seamlessly together.

We first started chatting to Italian bride Anna in January 2020 about an antique silver and sparkly crystal wedding crown for her wedding day. Anna had fallen in love with the idea of a crown that represented her grandmother, that she could wear on her wedding day and keep for years to come. She chose the dandelion and oak leaves as symbols of her. Dandelions: delicate and whimsical by nature. Oak leaves that they create the perfect contrast: solid leaves that grow from strong, woody branches. We loved the sentiment behind her vision and were excited to help her bring this vision to life for her.
We got to work sourcing components that would be suitable to create her bespoke crown. By March 2020, we had sourced components and were ready to start work on her delicate headpiece. And then the pandemic hit. The world started to change, especially in Italy where numbers of infections started to rise quickly. We always loved receiving emails from Anna but from March, each time she responded, we waited with baited breath hoping for the news that she, and her family, were safe and well. Unfortunately, we later received a heartbreaking email from Anna that her grandmother had passed away. Not from the virus but from another condition. Our hearts broke.
We were honoured to have the opportunity to create this crown for Anna. We were thrilled she loved her piece was able to finally wear her crown at her rescheduled wedding day in 2021.

It’s true that styling your look requires planning, an eye for detail and having a good understanding of your personal style. But it doesn’t mean you need to have a solid background in fashion or design. Often the best thing to listen to is your instincts – after all, you know your style more than anyone else. And if you don’t know your style, you certainly know what you don’t like so perhaps a process of elimination might be a good starting point for you.
We recently had the pleasure of working with bride Megan from the USA to create a floral bridal crown and pearl veil for her wedding day. Megan had a good understanding of her style and the vibe she was looking for to complete her bridal look. Megan had a few favourites from our collection but wasn’t sure about the best pieces for her look and how to bring together her accessories to complement her dress and venue in a seamless and cohesive way.
Megan’s bridal dress journey started with a vision in mind of a soft and flowing silhouette with feminine details. In the end, she fell in love with the exact opposite – a classic and structured half ballgown free of embellishments. Her timeless gown created the perfect blank canvas to inspire her accessories.
After having tried on a range of bridal headpieces and veils at her local bridal boutique, Megan reached out to us online in search for detailing that included golden tones and floral elements. Having had an opportunity to experiment with different styles in store, Megan was able to form a better idea of her likes and dislikes and the type of accessories she felt was more suitable for her personality and style.
After browsing our collections, Megan fell in love with the floral and leaf details on our FLORES crown and gravitated towards the shape and airiness of the SONNET. She preferred styles with free space between details to create a sense of airiness and smaller details.
The wedding venue Megan booked exudes an old world and romantic character in her mother’s home country of Ireland. The venue features a variety of design elements – the house itself is a 16th century with an eclectic moody antique space with acres of gardens. The venue also included a white marble greenhouse, and the reception space is a rustic low-lit red brick space.
With a variety of details, colours and accents in the venue, we helped Megan pull together her accessories so they felt consistent and appropriate for her wedding space.
We were also fortunate to be able to design Megan’s bridal headpiece in conjunction with her bespoke pearl veil. To add drama and detail to her structured semi-ball gown, Megan chose our NADIA veil which we customised with a heavier cluster of pearls along the full circumference of the veil for a more dramatic look.

The LYRIC headpiece is a much loved style from the collection, featuring an elegant willow-like design which offers a carefree detail to natural and relaxed bridal hairstyles. The pale golden palette combined with soft ivory flowers evoke a mood of bohemia and when paired with a classic wedding gown, the look is next level.
To our joy, our New Zealand bride Taylor loved the detailing and look of the LYRIC style but it was a little too long for her classic wedding gown which featured an elegant boat neckline and low cowl back. We love to work one-on-one with our brides and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Taylor to modify the design to better suit her look.
Taylor’s bridal look is the ultimate in classic styling. Her vision was to pair the boat neckline and cowl back of her Trish Peng wedding gown with a beautiful relaxed low set updo. These timeless details are an elegant combination and we wanted to ensure her headpiece accentuated the lines on her gown and the aesthetic of her overall look.
Proportions are very important when we design our pieces. Where a headpiece is too large, it can overwhelm the other details and can draw attention away from the beauty of a dress or bridal hairstyle. Ensuring Taylor’s headpiece was balanced and proportional to the rest of her look was our main priority.
We scaled back the length of the original LYRIC headpiece by 10cm so its dimensions matched our LUCILLE headpiece.
This shortened length allowed it to sit in her hair with a soft curve which was proportional to her updo and also mimicked the lines of her low cowl back.
Taylor had also chosen a cathedral length veil with a tulle wrapped comb so this was another factor we needed to consider when designing her headpiece. To ensure the comb of her veil would be covered sufficiently, we filled in the centre with extra flower details, more pale golden leaves in various sizes and additional pearl sprigs to add fullness and texture.
The finished headpiece feels effortless, classic and sophisticated – the perfect accessory to complete her bridal ensemble.
