Two weeks before Gwen and Sean’s wedding date their careful planning was given a shakeup. As restrictions came into place, they had to quickly rethink and adapt. Although different to the wedding they originally envisioned, their day turned out even more perfect than they could have imagined. As a last-minute venue swap, the ceremony took place at Gwen’s childhood backyard and was followed by a family-style dinner on farm tables. At Gwen’s childhood home with a handful of their closest friends and family, the wedding was intimate and sentimental.
To complement the magical woodland setting, Gwen searched for a suitably whimsical dress and accessories. A floaty gown with ruffled sleeves and a cluster of delicate WHISPER hair pins scattered to the side of a bun, beautifully captured the garden wedding vibe.
Gwen envisioned her wedding surrounded by greenery or trees with neutral coloured flowers and simplistic décor. Sean described the look they were going for as “modern, chic, woodsy wonder”.
“We ended up getting married in my parent’s backyard next to a creek, with trees everywhere. It was even more perfect that I envisioned, and would have had at our original venue. It was the perfect romantic mood that I was hoping for,” says Gwen. “Our vendors went above and beyond to make sure the backyard transformed into a woodsy wonderland. One of my favourite aspects of the wedding was the little round glass terrariums with LED tea lights hanging from the trees above us, and a chandelier over our dinner table. It was so incredible.”
Although originally picturing herself in simple, romantic wedding dress, Gwen ultimately decided on a design that was a little outside her comfort zone – Alexandra Grecco’s Elodie gown featuring a ruffled bodice and embroidered details.
“When I saw myself in the mirror, I knew this was the one. It had the perfect balance of elegance and romance, but a touch of flirty. The ruffle sleeves are what sealed the deal for me. I love to be different in a subtle way, and this dress did that exactly for me, and I felt so sexy, and comfortable.”
Gwen fell in love with the delicate beauty of the WHISPER hair pins and their styling versatility. They can be scattered across an updo, clustered at the side of a bun or arranged in a row along a half up hairstyle.
“I loved being able to place the WHISPER hair pins in a small bunch in my hair, then a few farther away. It felt so natural, and romantic.”
When it comes to planning your dream wedding and bridal look, Gwen’s advice is to go with your heart.
“It is always so wonderful to have your loved ones opinions, but it is your day. Wear the dress that you felt amazing in, the one you loved. Have the same approach with your accessories. Take your loved ones opinions with a grain of salt, and choose what makes you happy, and makes you feel beautiful.”
Sometimes all you need is that little extra detail to finish a bridal ensemble. It might be a strikingly simple veil, a delicate hair vine or perhaps some floral hair pins in your hair to create a ‘just picked from the garden’ look.
We love to design hair pins and bridal accessories that evoke a mood that’s equal parts relaxed and ethereal. Our full collection exemplifies our love for all things feminine and romantic.
Ultimately, when it comes to accessories, your finishing touches shouldn’t take away from the beauty of your wedding dress. Instead, they should complement and enhance the vibe of your look.

The inspiration behind the PETITE PINS hair pins was the CHERRY BLOSSOM hair piece set, a popular style from our recent collection, Le Jardin. We simplified the set for our brides seeking something just a little simpler but still equally beautiful.
These delicate hair pins feature the same colour palette just on a smaller scale. They can be customised in silver tones with the floral elements also customisable in ivory, blush or champagne.

This set of hair pins are unconventional in detailing yet classic in aesthetic. They’re the perfect set for bohemian brides, garden weddings or seaside nuptials.
Each piece has been crafted to look slightly mismatched for an organic and whimsical feel. Style these hair pins neatly in a row or spread them along your romantic half up hairstyle for a look that’s carefree and high style.
We recommend styling delicate hair pins with a minimalist veil such as our AUDREY chapel veil. If you’d like to style the pins to the side of an updo, these pins can easily be worn with a traditional wedding veil. One thing to keep in mind – try to avoid too many gathers in the veil as the bulky feel of the veil could overpower these delicate hair pins.
For a look that’s ultra feminine and chic, pair two sets totally six pieces across a half up hairstyle. A truly unique and romantic take on bridal styling.

In the realm of bridal fashion, it’s often the smallest details that make the most significant impact. Whether it’s buttons on a wedding dress, detailed lacework or fine beading. When it comes to bridal accessories, delicate bridal hair pins are a perfect example of this, offering a subtle yet stunning way to enhance your wedding day look.
We love to recommend bridal hair pin sets to brides who want versatility with styling or where their wedding gown just needs a little detail to complete their bridal look.
It’s fair to say, the appeal of small bridal hair pins lie in their ability to combine timeless elegance with modern simplicity. They can offer a delicate, understated beauty that can capture the mood and vibe of your wedding dress without overpowering it. Their petite size makes them perfect for brides who prefer a more minimalist aesthetic.
Their smaller and dainty size allows them to be placed anywhere in the hair—whether tucked into a bun, scattered through loose waves, or accenting a braid—adding just the right amount of detail.
Smaller hair pins have classic appeal, often evoking a sense of timelessness, reminiscent of vintage and traditional bridal styles. They can subtly reference classic bridal looks while still feeling fresh and modern.
The heirloom potential of hair pins means they can become cherished keepsakes, passed down through the generations as a nod to tradition.
Bridal hair pins are light and comfortable, making them an effortless addition to any hairstyle. They’re easy to place and adjust, allowing brides to seamlessly integrate them into any hairstyle, achieving a polished look without much fuss.
In line with the “less is more” philosophy, small hair pins add just the right amount of detail to a bridal look, embodying a kind effortless beauty that feels both intentional and natural.
A single hair pin with beautiful details can look just as striking as a cluster of pins. Despite the small size of the hair pins, they can be beautifully embellished and adorned in a range of different components for a natural, romantic look.
Bridal updos: They style perfectly in updos and bridal buns: around the base of the updo, along the side or across the top.
Bridal braids: Weave hair pins into the braid or place them at the end for a bohemian-inspired finish.
Half up hairstyles: For a romantic and whimsical look, use hair pins along the contours of a half up hairstyle. These will add a beautiful focal point to soft waves and curls.
Side-swept hairstyles: Pinning back one side of your hair and adorning the section with hair pins creates a striking asymmetrical look. Perfect for Hollywood inspired looks or garden weddings.

Bridal hair pins are likely to fall out if they’re not secured into place with additional bobby pins. Using bobby pins in a colour that matches your hair colour, pin the hair pin down with a bobby pin discreetly beneath the hair. This will ensure your hair pieces will stay in place if you’re planning to have an active day with lots of dancing.
When choosing bridal hair pins for your wedding day, it’s important to consider your wedding theme and dress. Pearl or floral hair pins pair beautifully with vintage or romantic themes, whilst minimalist pins are great for modern weddings.
A trial run with your hairstylist is always a good idea before your wedding. This is an opportunity to talk to your bridal hairstylist and discuss how the pins will work with it. Your hairstylist will be able to discuss how they can be secured into your hair and how they will sit along side other accessories, such as your wedding veil.
We are here to guide you through the exciting journey of accessorising your bridal look. Feel free to send us photos of your wedding dress, bridal hairstyle and links to your favourite styles from our collection. We can then get back to you with ideas and recommendations.
