Crown of Glory | A golden bridal headpiece for Ida
While royalty like to adorn their tiaras and crowns with sapphires, emeralds and other precious jewels, headpieces for those outside of the royal family need not lack splendour and grace on their wedding day.
To tap into this air of opulence, you don’t need access to Kate Middleton’s precious jewels. There’s no denying it, it would certainly be nice to play dress ups with such royal findings. And I’m sure if that moment ever arrived, it may take more than one security guard to pull me away from the precious jewels after play time was over.
There are many brides who feel a tiara on her wedding day is the only piece that can complete her bridal look. More so than a veil or that picturesque white chapel on the hill. For some, it’s the piece that brings them back to their childhood where as a little girl, they imagined every detail of their wedding day including the names of the horses that would pull them into the chapel gates.
For bride-to-be Ida, I saw her vision as bohemian luxe with a touch of wanderlust. A modern day interpretation of a golden crown to adorn her tousled curls from behind in a relaxed outdoor ceremony. The perfect piece that would sparkle and shine as she walked gracefully down the aisle towards her groom, with so much flair, confidence and elegance that those in royalty would have yearned for such a modern fairytale wedding.
For the loveliest Ida, I recently created this golden bridal headpiece for her special day in August. Drawing inspiration from the vines with a soft summer glow, her bespoke piece features pearl floral finery, beaded leaves and darling buds. This bespoke bridal headpiece is designed to be worn from behind to frame loose tousled waves or a soft bridal updo.
I very much love the versatility of this piece too. With a quick reposition, this statement piece can be worn across the forehead or wrapped around a bridal ballerina bun. The prettiest headpiece to channel an enchanted rustic vibe with all the glory that comes from gold.
Thank you Ida for the opportunity to create your bespoke headpiece for your wedding day xx
